This incredible alpine parcel is situated close to Mount Wilson and Little Cone peaks and has beautiful mature trees, a stream, underground utilities, year round access and private access into Uncompahgre National Forest. Once the site of an irrigated summer ranching operation, Wilson Mesa Ranches was the first subdivision in the area with designated homesites to protect owners view corridors and the natural wildlife.
This specific parcel was part of an old homestead. The old irrigation ditches and wooden trough still exist dating back to the ranching era of the 1800's. The old ranch road and an old hand built log cabin can be found in the timber nearby. With existing brook flowing through the property, the trees and foliation are healthier than anywhere we have visited on the surrounding mesas of Telluride. A mix of aspens, spruce, fir and plant coverage give this parcel a special feel.
This parcel, a part of Wilson Mesa Ranches, has access into thousands of acres of Uncompahgre National Forest. There are hundreds of acres of common meadows for horseback rides and other recreational usage. A very special parcel in a special development, yet so close to Telluride and the Telluride Ski and Golf area!
