November 2011. Winter is soon to be in full swing. Have had 8-10 snowfalls to date and the Ski Area is making snow. Ski runs will open Thanksgiving week-end. I spent 6 days elk hunting at our ranch and was successful last Friday. Three friends came up to help me get my elk out of the woods, hung, skinned and processed. Getting back to nature during hunting season is an experience to remember. Ed Andrews

October 2011. Summer was a blur in Telluride. Many festivals, softball games in Town Park, busy real estate season and lots of work performed at our mesa ranch on Hastings. Attended the SSUSA Senior Softball "World Championships" in Phoenix. Played 3 days and worked 10 days at our Reebok Tent. Over 375 teams competed over 12 days.

Mountain Film Festival, May, 2011. This is our first festival of the season and perhaps our most fun. really enjoyed seeing the group of people who came to town and visited our region. The films were fantastic. Hope you like the photos below. Ed Andrews

We're getting snow in Telluride and it is much needed as the first leg of the 2010 World Cup Snowboard Snowcross competition is going on right now. Some of the top snowboarders in the world are here to compete for a spot on the US Olympic Team and for prizes. I've been told the Telluride course is one of the best and most challenging courses on the circuit.
The summer and fall season in Telluride was beautiful and stayed warm all the way through September and into October. It was a real treat for the locals. The colors were awesome and lasted longer than I can remember in the past. There were many sightings of elk, deer and even bear this fall.

This has been a beautiful week from a weather standpoint. It has been sunny, warm and everything is green and alive right now. I've gone
up on the mesas this week in the early mornings with my camera. The elk are calving and the new babies are just incredible to watch as
they prance around but are careful not to get too far from mama. Yesterday, I saw my first fawn of the summer. This is a few weeks early
but it was exciting to see.

The summer is going by fast. There have been music festivals, baseball camp, our local softball season opened and has closed for yet another year. Rains came in July and we experienced more rain than I can remember in many years. It has made the countryside lush and green. There are elk and deer on the mesas everywhere you look.
Many property owners have been treating their lands for Canada Thistle and Oxey Daisey these past few weeks. The rains have slowed the maturity of the plants and has given more time to treat the noxious weeds.
Sheep and cattle are grazing with abundant feed this year.
There are lots of exciting parcels and cabins to see this year. Let me know if I can answer any questions and thanks for reading my blog.
