This was originally a miners cabin in Placerville just 16 miles or 20 minutes from downtown Telluride. Placerville was the site of farms and lumber mills to supply the mining towns with food and lumber. The owners have completely  remodeled this home including new roof, exterior walls, siding, flooring, windows, insulation, doors, interior hardwood floors and carpet, cabinets and granite counters, new appliances, electrical, etc. Nearly everything is new and situated on three Placerville Town lots. This solar site has expansive views of the river canyon and the red rocks and is located amidst a quiet community just a block from the local community grocery store, package store and post office. The trout stream is a 3 minute walk from the house and the Town Park is only 5 minutes away.

The new stone fireplace exterior with new roof and siding. The structure was inspected by contractors, County building inspectors and the owners before the project was started. It was decided that items not meeting code or expectation were to be demolished and rebuilt to meet code and quality.

One of the outstanding points of interest is the wide plank hardwood flooring that was salvaged from the Telluride School gymnasium that was torn down in the early 1980's.
